Since 1933 the Old School Barkers Vale has been at the centre of local community activities.
On foot, horse or by any passing vehicle, kids have been attending classes, achieving an education and learning skills to be used throughout their lives. It was also a focal point for gatherings and events for all the residents in the area.
The school has now been shifted to a more centralised location, leaving behind the buildings and a still majestic forest at its doorstep.
Renovating the rooms and facilities to enable a complete "get away from it all" experience, Tony and Helen have owned and operated Barkers Vale Country as a quiet, peaceful countryside getaway close to the rainforest, since 2002.
